Melissa Elkins & Take Two: News

Melissa Elkins has teamed up with fellow country singer Alicia Rose of South Bend Indiana and is now singing in a country duo group called Take Two. The 2 girls have been working on cover songs for now and are making arangements to move to Nashville TN in October of 2008.

Some of Melissa Elkins music is now lined up to be aired on the radio program "Country Trail" in The Netherlands :)

Melissa Elkins is scheduled to perform at a benefit for the National Kidney Foundation of MI on Saturday January 13th 2007
at Demars Catering, M-140 Watervliet, MI

Melissa chose to benefit for the National Kidney Foundation to raise money for people living with kidney disease. Kidney disease hits close to home for Melissa. Melissa's oldest brother David's kidneys failed at a young age. He's been on dialysis treatments for the last 15 years and has gone through a lot and came close to death. At one time he had a transplant, but his body rejected the kidney and he was right back where he left off. David is still living with dialysis, and has his good days as well as some not so good. The medicine he is on has caused some arthritis, which he copes with. Melissa hopes to have a good turn out and raise as much as she can to help out other patients like her brother.

Some of Melissa Elkins music is lined up to air this Wednesday night in Melbourne, Australia on the radio program "Stone Cold Country" on Yarra Valley FM 99.1
